Dedicated to the memory of Janice Adams

It is with deep sadness that we find ourselves making preparations to say goodbye to Janice, albeit far too early, who passed away peacefully in her sleep at her beloved home, on 17th June 2022.

To those closest in her life, Jan (as she was affectionately known) was a larger than life character who rarely sat on the fence and always spoke the truth or provided an opinion. Right or wrong, we loved her for her directness, as it was what made her Jan!

Jan led a simple life, and very happy staying 'in her lane' and being her own person. Jan was not bothered by what others had and never materialistic. Jan lived in the moment, often impulsive and whenever she saw something or wanted to go somewhere, she simply did it. What Jan valued most and thrived upon, was the love and attention of her close family and friends, through good and not so good times.

To Kay, she was a Mum and best friend, someone who fought all the odds to make sure Kay grew up and blossomed. To her grandchildren Lewis and Ella, she was Nanny Jan (or just Jan), giving them the benefit of her worldly experience and playing a major role in their upbringing and development (switching to Whatsapp in her later years!). To her close friends, Jan was fiercely loyal, totally dependable and someone you wanted in your corner!

As her unexpected passing slowly sinks in, we are all incredibly sad right now, but have been taking much solace from reflecting on the precious time we had with her, reminiscing over all the funny stories, great memories and reflecting upon the wonderful messages received from far and wide.

Jan will be missed.
